Summary:The instrument, assembled of a hollow shaft (10, 11) accommodating an operating cable and two scissor-type handles (21, 23, 26), is fitted with a stationary (54) and a movable gripping element (56) at its distal end (14). After a knot has been tied by the surgeon, the gripping elements (54, 56) are moved towards each other, forming a circle positioned around one of the loose ends. By moving the circle assembled of the gripping elements (54, 56) towards the area to be treated, the knot is tightened and pushed firmly against the tissue. Ein chirurgisches Instrument zum Fassen eines Fadens und zum Schieben eines chirurgischen Knotens im Körper eines Patienten. Das chirurgische Instrument besitzt einen Stiel mit einem proximalen und einem distalen Ende. Ein Greifer mit Drehgelenk in der Form einer Klaue, die sich am distalen Ende des Stiels befindet, fasst einen Faden in einer umschlossenen Öffnung. Ein Handmechanismus am proximalen Ende des Stiels öffnet und schließt den Greifer.
