Summary:A filter comprises a pot-shaped outer housing (1) with an end wall (2) with a central opening (3) and a second opening (4) radially outside the first, for the medium passing through the filter, and a pot-shaped inner housing (5) made of plastic, with a base (6). The filter has two coaxial hollow chambers. The first is central, and the second comprises a ring around it. A seal is between the inner housing base and the outer housing end wall. The ring is made of polypropylene. Bei einem Filter mit einem topfförmigen Außengehäuse und einem mit Abstand in diesem gelagerten Innengehäuse ist zur axial einseitigen Abdichtung eines Ringspaltes zwischen Innen- und Außengehäuse an dem Innengehäuse eine Ringdichtung angeformt. Zumindest das Ringdichtungsmaterial ist geringfügig elastisch. Ausbildung und Lagerung der Ringdichtung sind derart, dass diese als Rückschlagventil wirkt, das bei Durchströmung des Ringspaltes in einer Richtung öffnet.
