Summary:The headlamp has a light source and a stop (12) between the source and a lens pivotable by a magnet (26) acting against a restoring spring (20) from a first dipped beam light distribution end position to a second end position for main beam light distribution. The restoring spring exerts an additional force on the stop in the direction of the pivot axle (18) and presses the optical stop against a mechanical stop. The spring stabilizes the stop in the dipped beam position by exerting a force on the magnet's actuating axle (28).
