Batteriemodul, mit einem Batteriemodulgehäuse (12), einem Batteriezellenpaket (14), welches eine Mehrzahl von Batteriezellen (16) aufweist und in dem Batteriemodulgehäuse (12) angeordnet ist, wobei das Batteriezellenpaket (14) sich zumindest mit einer Außenfläche (60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 70) an einer Innenfläche (20) des Batteriemodulgehäuses (12) abstützt, und einer Batteriezellen-Überwachungseinheit (22), welche über eine Signalleitung (32) mit den Batteriezellen (16) verbunden ist, wobei an der an der Innenfläche (20) des Batteriemodulgehäuses (12) abstützende Außenfläche (60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 70) des Batteriezellenpakets (14) eine Schutzplatte (18) angeordnet ist, an dessen dem Batteriezellenpaket (14) zugewandten oder abgewandten Seite eine Aussparung (30) vorgesehen ist, in welcher zumindest ein Abschnitt der Signalleitung (32) angeordnet ist.
