Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Kommunikation eines Kraftfahrzeugs (K1) mit einem Verkehrsteilnehmer. Die Kommunikation erfolgt derart, dass der Verkehrsteilnehmer über ein geplantes Manöver des Kraftfahrzeugs (K1) oder eine bevorstehende Türöffnung beim Kraftfahrzeug (K1) informiert wird und/oder darüber, dass das Kraftfahrzeug (K1) den anderen Verkehrsteilnehmer erkannt hat. Bei dem Verfahren wird auf einer befahrbaren Fläche (F) und/oder auf dem Kraftfahrzeug (K1) selbst wenigstens eine optisch sichtbare Erscheinung erzeugt.Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, dass die optisch sichtbare Erscheinung durch das Kraftfahrzeug (K1) zumindest auf einem Teilbereich einer dem Verkehrsteilnehmer zugewandten Fensterscheibe (20, 21, 22) erfolgt.
