Abstract | The method involves providing images (B1, WB) with resolution. The images are co-registered and second resolution is higher than the first resolution. A resulting image (RB1) is determined by selecting pixel of the image (B1) and an average of the intensity values of subset of the corresponding pixels of the image (WB) and a portion of an intensity value of the pixel of the image (B1) is normalized. The image (WB) is segmented into objects. One scale factor is determined based on the object pixel of the image. An independent claim is included for an apparatus for improving an image resolution of image.
