Summary:The needle drive device has a drive portion (4) that is provided with a rectangular shell-like recess (21) that is fitted with a drive rod (7). The hold-down force is acted between the drive rod and the drive portion. The hold-down force is formed between the recess of the drive portion and the drive rod. The hold-down force between the drive-side end of the drive portion and the drive rod is acted by a magnetic force. The recess is formed as locking connection. The drive rod is engaged by a locking lug in the recess.
