Summary: | The filter has a filter insert (5) inserted in a filter housing upper part (1) and a filter housing lower part (2), and a raw chamber (19) connected with a housing-side inlet (3). A water collection chamber (27) is in communication with a transition chamber provided in the filter insert. The transition chamber and the collection chamber are separated from the raw chamber by a filter medium (11) and from a clean chamber (190) by an end separator (16). The filter medium is formed as water droplets agglomerating particulate filter medium permeable to water. The separator is impermeable to water. The filter medium is formed as an annular closed filter-effective wall.
Es erfolgt eine mindestens zweiphasige Filterung, wobei mit einem Filtermedium Feststoffpartikel festgehalten und im Kraftstoff mitgeschleppte Wassertröpfchen agglomeriert werden und ein Endabscheider einen Übertritt der agglomerierten Wassertröpfchen in einen Reinraum verhindert. Der Übergangsraum zwischen dem Filtermedium kommuniziert mit einem Wassersammelraum, der vom Rohraum durch das Filtermedium abgetrennt ist. Am wasserraumseitigen Ende des Endabscheiders ist ein Wasserstandsensor für den Wassersammelraum angeordnet. |
