Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines thermoelektrischen Generators (1), der zumindest ein thermoelektrisches Modul (2), zumindest eine im Betrieb des thermoelektrischen Generators (1) als Wärmequelle dienende, mit dem thermoelektrischen Modul (2) wärmeübertragend verbundene Warmstruktur (4) und mindestens eine im Betrieb des thermoelektrischen Generators (1) als Wärmesenke dienende, mit dem thermoelektrischen Modul (2) wärmeübertragend verbundene Kaltstruktur (5) aufweist, bei dem das thermoelektrische Modul (2) mit der Warmstruktur (4) verlötet wird.
