Summary:The dishwasher has a water softening device (1) comprising a salt container (2), an ion exchanger (3), and a float (5) held vertically movably in a float housing (4). The float is provided with a taring element for retaining a brine, where the taring element is arranged at the center of the float. The taring element is axially displaceable for adjusting a specific floatation of the float, where the taring element is formed by gas volumes formed in the float. A cavity formed in the float is divided into two subspaces by a separator. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Geschirrspülmaschine, insbesondere eine Haushaltsgeschirrspülmaschine, mit einer Wasserenthärtungseinrichtung (1) umfassend einen zur Aufnahme einer Salzsole dienenden Salzbehälter (2), einen Ionentauscher (3), und einen in einem Schwimmergehäuse (4) vertikal beweglich gehaltenen, mit einem Tarierelement (24) versehenen Schwimmer (5).
