Summary:The method involves arranging a seal (9) in a stack direction (s) between two stack bodies of a fuel cell stack section (1). The seal is applied as a sealing compound on the bodies. The bodies are installed with each other at an end position in a stack section after applying the sealing compound. Installation step is carried out, and the sealing compound is unhardened and/or plastically deformed and/or liquid and/or pasty. The sealing compound is applied as a sealing crawler (10). The bodies are designed as a membrane electrode assembly plate (2) and a bipolar plate (3).
