The apparatus has a driving device (2) including a drive unit (3) with a drive connection (4) for a hot air blower unit (6), and another drive connection (8) for a cooling unit (10). A shiftable gear unit (12) adjusts a power characteristic of the hot air blower unit and/or the cooling unit. The tgear unit includes a dog clutch (14) to deactivate the hot air blower unit and activate the cooling unit. A bearing unit (16) supports a hot air blower wheel (18) of the blower unit, and a switch unit (20) is provided to perform a partly automated shift operation of the gear unit. Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Gargerätevorrichtung mit einer Antriebsvorrichtung (2), die wenigstens eine Antriebseinheit (3) und zumindest eine Antriebsverbindung (4) für eine Heißluftgebläseeinheit (6) sowie wenigstens eine Antriebsverbindung (8) für eine Kühleinheit (10) aufweist. Um eine gattungsgemäße Gargerätevorrichtung mit verbesserten Eigenschaften hinsichtlich eines an die Erfordernisse eines gewählten Garvorgangs angepassten Betriebs der Heißluftgebläseeinheit (6) und der Kühleinheit (10) sowie eines Energieverbrauchs und einer Geräuschentwicklung bereitzustellen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Antriebsvorrichtung (2) eine schaltbare Getriebeeinheit (12) aufweist, die dazu vorgesehen ist, wenigstens eine Leistungskenngröße der Heißluftgebläseeinheit (6) und/oder der Kühleinheit (10) einzustellen.
