The method involves transporting an object i.e. container (10), by a transporting device (2) along a preset transporting path (P), and inspecting two different areas of the object using two inspection devices (4, 6), respectively. Data sets (D1, D2) are output by the inspection devices, where the data sets characterize the inspected areas of the object and are associated with each other. Images (B1, B2) of the object recorded with the inspection devices are partially output, and the inspection of the object by the inspection devices takes place at different time periods. An independent claim is also included for a device for inspecting an object comprising a transporting device for transporting the object along a preset transporting path. Ein Verfahren zum Inspizieren von Objekten und insbesondere von Behältnissen (10), wobei die Behältnisse (10) mit einer Transporteinrichtung (2) entlang eines vorgegebenen Pfades transportiert werden, mittels einer ersten Inspektionseinrichtung (4) ein erster Bereich der Behältnisse (10) inspiziert wird und mittels einer zweiten Inspektionseinrichtung (6) ein zweiter Bereich der Behältnisse (10) inspiziert wird und die erste und zweite Inspektionseinrichtung (4, 6) jeweils Daten (D1, D2) ausgeben, welche für die inspizierten Bereiche charakteristisch sind. Erfindungsgemäß werden die ersten Daten (D1) und die zweiten Daten (D2), einander zugeordnet.
