The sealing (5) has a valve element, where the valve element has a sealing element or cooperates with the sealing element. The sealing element has a sealing ring body, which is firmly connected with the valve element. The sealing element is partially accommodated in a recess of the valve element. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine with an annular channel. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Dichtung mit einem Ventilelement (16). Um die Dichtung im Hinblick auf dessen Dichtfunktion im geschlossenen Zustand oder/und dessen Strömungswiderstand im geöffneten Zustand zu verbessern, umfasst das Ventilelement (16) ein Dichtungselement beziehungsweise wirkt mit einem Dichtungselement zusammen.
