Summary:The arrangement (10) has a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor with a control device (18) for controlling an infrared (IR) light source (14) of the NDIR sensor. The control device provides a signal of an IR sensor unit (16) of the NDIR sensor, and a metal oxide gas sensor (MOX) array (22) detects comparison gas components e.g. air moisture, detectable by the NDIR sensor. The control device has an automatic unit (24) for comparing measured values of the sensor and the array, and an indicator indicates a false function of the arrangement based on the deviation of the measured values. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing functionality of a gas sensor arrangement. Eine Gas-Sensoranordnung mit mindestens einem NDIR-Sensor (16) umfasst ferner mindestens ein MOX-Array (22), das eine im Gas vorkommende Vergleichs-Gaskomponente erfassen kann, welche auch vom NDIR-Sensor (16) erfassbar ist, sowie eine Fehlfunktionseinheit (24), in der die Messwerte beider Sensoren (16, 22) der Vergleichs-Gaskomponente vergleichbar sind und die Abweichung zwischen den Messwerten beider Sensoren (16, 22) ein Indikator für eine Fehlfunktion der Gas-Sensoranordnung (10) ist.
