Summary:The method comprises cutting a peeled and washed raw potato into slices, occasionally roasting the slices in a microwave oven and adjusting a roasting time, occasionally placing the slices onto a conveyor belt (1) made of heat-resistant material, moving the slices onto the conveyor belt through the microwave oven for roasting, and mechanically detaching the slices from the conveyor belt after roasting. The conveyor belt is guided over a barrier for detaching the roasted slices. The roasted slices lying onto the conveyor belt are separated from the conveyor belt and are collected. The method comprises cutting a peeled and washed raw potato into slices, occasionally roasting the slices in a microwave oven and adjusting a roasting time, occasionally placing the slices onto a conveyor belt (1) made of heat-resistant material, moving the slices onto the conveyor belt through the microwave oven for roasting, and mechanically detaching the slices from the conveyor belt after roasting. The conveyor belt is guided over a barrier for detaching the roasted slices. The roasted slices lying onto the conveyor belt are separated from the conveyor belt and are collected. The raw potatoes are cut into a thickness of 0.8-1.2 mm. The potato slices in the microwave oven are guided past to two alternately arranged magnetrons. A microwave power in the microwave oven is controlled by an optical sensor (11). An independent claim is included for a continuous microwave oven.
