Summary:The method involves detecting temperature of electromechanical components (103) based on a duty cycle of an electrical signal (107), where the duty cycle provides a relationship between the pulse duration and period duration. The duty cycle is changed by power regulation or voltage regulation for compensating temperature-caused changes of conversion degree. The electrical signal is produced by a controller (101). The temperature of the electromechanical components is determined based on a look-up table, in which the duty cycle is assigned to the temperature of the component. An independent claim is also included for a controller for controlling electromechanical components.
