Eine optische Vorrichtung (12) zur Vergrößerung des Einstellbereichs der Bandbreite eines Laserstrahls (14) einer Laserlichtquelle (10) weist ein Strahlaufweitungsmodul (18), das den Laserstrahl (14) in Richtung quer zur Ausbreitungsrichtung des Laserstrahls (14) aufweitet, und eine optische Anordnung (30) auf, die zumindest ein erstes optisches Bauelement (32) aufweist, dessen optische Eigenschaften so gewählt sind, dass es das Winkelspektrum des Laserstrahls (14) verbreitert.
