Summary:The device i.e. ion generator (1), has an air-guiding device (8) that is designed as a closed or open air-guiding device and comprises a sectionally variable air passage cross section. The variable air passage cross section is section-wise conically tapered and/or sectionally expanded. Two air-guiding walls (4, 5) are provided at a base plate (9) and sectionally formed. The air-guiding device partly encompasses an interior. An anode (2) and a needle-shaped cathode (3) are provided in the generator. Ionisationsvorrichtung (1) für ein Kraftfahrzeug, welche zumindest eine Elektrodeneinrichtung (2, 3) aufweist. Die zumindest eine Elektrodeneinrichtung (2, 3) ist mit zumindest einer Luftleitvorrichtung (8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 29, 30) versehen.
