Summary:The joint (10) has two joint forks (12, 14) connected with respective shafts at an end and comprising yokes at another end. The joint forks are coupled with one another within the area of the yokes over a hinge part with bearing pins. The hinge part is designed to connect the joint forks with one another, and the yokes of the joint forks comprise different effective gripping widths (Geff). The two opposite bearing pins form a bearing pin pair, where one of the bearing pins has length that is different from length of the other bearing pin. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Kardangelenk (10) zum Verbinden zweier Wellen, insbesondere in Kraftfahrzeugen, umfassend zwei Gelenkgabeln (12; 14), die jeweils an einem ersten Ende mit je einer Welle verbindbar sind und an einem zweiten Ende einen Gabelkopf (22) aufweisen, wobei die Gelenkgabeln (12; 14) im Bereich des Gabelkopfes (22) über ein Gelenkteil (16) mit Lagerzapfen (18; 20) miteinander koppelbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Gelenkteil (16) dazu ausgebildet ist, zwei Gelenkgabeln (12; 14) miteinander zu koppeln, deren Gabelköpfe (22) unterschiedliche effektive Greifweiten (Geff) aufweisen.
