Summary:Method for driving a moving part of an injection molding machine comprises determining the inertia of the moving part directly or indirectly and driving the moving part depending on the inertia measured. An independent claim is also included for a control and regulating device for an injection molding machine. Preferred Features: The moving part is rotated about an axis of rotation and the inertia is measured in relation to the axis of rotation. The inertia is determined from the motor current, hydraulic pressure and revolutions. Verfahren zum Antreiben eines bewegbaren Teiles einer bzw. für eine Spritzgießmaschine, wobei die Trägheit des bewegbaren Teiles ermittelt wird und das Antreiben des bewegbaren Teiles in Abhängigkeit von der ermittelten Trägheit erfolgt.
