An independent claim is included for a method for removing ink form the inking unit of a printing machine using the system described. Die Druckmaschine (1) besitzt Farbwerke (8a-d), deren Walzen mit einer phobierten Beschichtung aus Material mit niedriger Oberflächenenergie versehen sind. Mindestens eine Walze des Farbwerks bleibt unbeschichtet. Dort werden im Waschbetrieb die Farbreste durch Abrakeln entfernt.
