Summary:The method involves determining a target torque of an engine depending on the maximum speed and predicted speed. The predicted speed depends on the instantaneous speed and speed gradients, so that the speed of the engine is limited. The speed gradient is taken into account for determining the target torque depending on a condition of the frictional connection to the engine. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for limiting the maximum speed of an engine by presetting a target torque; and (2) a computer program. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Begrenzung der Maximaldrehzahl eines Motors (2) durch Vorgabe eines Sollmoments, wobei das Sollmoment des Motors (2) abhängig von der Maximaldrehzahl und einer prädizierten Drehzahl, die von der momentanen Drehzahl (n) und einem Drehzahlgradienten (ngrad) abhängt, ermittelbar ist, so dass die Drehzahl (n) des Motors (2) begrenzt wird, wobei der Drehzahlgradient (ngrad) abhängig von einem Zustand des Kraftschlusses zum Motor (2) bei der Ermittlung des Sollmoments berücksichtigt wird.
