The device (1) has electrical contact elements (4-7) e.g. cutting clamps, electrically connectable with a conductor of cables (8) e.g. ribbon cables. A sealing arrangement (17) seals housing parts (2, 3) against each other and an entrance position of the cables in the device, and electrical connection takes place between the contact elements and conductor in a sealed area. The arrangement has width, which exceeds width of the cables, where the sealing arrangement is gated at the cables. The sealing arrangement is brought in contact with one of the housing parts in a positive fitting manner. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine elektrische Verbindungsvorrichtung mit einem ersten und einem zweiten Gehäuseteil, wenigstens einem elektrischen Kontaktelement, welches mit einem Leiter eines Flachbandkabels elektrisch verbindbar ist, wobei es eine isolierende Ummantelung des Leiters durchdringt, und einer Dichtungsanordnung, mit welcher ein abgedichteter Raum ausbildbar ist, in welchem die elektrische Verbindung zwischen Kontaktelement und Leiter erfolgt. Um eine Verbindungsvorrichtung zu schaffen, welche auf möglichst einfache Weise gut nach außen abdichtbar ist, wird vorgeschlagen, die Dichtungsanordnung so vorzusehen, dass sie sowohl die Gehäuseteile gegeneinander als auch die wenigstens eine Eintrittsstelle des Kabels in die Verbindungsvorrichtung abdichtet.
