Summary:The device has a heat transfer element that is assigned with hot ends, where a heat transfer medium e.g. water, takes away heat from exhaust gas over the hot ends, conveys the heat to a cold region of the heat transfer element from a exhaust gas system, and delivers the heat to engine and/or gear oil of an internal combustion engine over the cold region. The heat transfer element is designed as a heat pipe. The heat transfer element with its hot ends is arranged within an exhaust gas system downstream to a catalyst. The oil in an oil reservoir is heated by the transfer of heat. Die Erfindung betrifft die Erwärmung von Motor- und/oder Getriebeöl eines Verbrennungsmotors, der eine Abgasanlage aufweist. Zumindest ein Wärmetransferelement ist vorgesehen, das mit seinem heißen Ende der Abgasanlage zugeordnet ist, wobei ein Wärmetransfermedium die Wärme der Abgase über das heiße Ende aufnimmt, von der Abgasanlage zu kalten Bereichen des Wärmetransferelementes wegtransportiert, und über die kalten Bereiche an das Motor- und/oder Getriebeöl abgibt.
