Summary:The printer has a printing head (33) of a print roller (5) limiting the printing media. The print roller is axially movable relative to storage areas (6,7) between an operating position, in which it is supported by the storage areas and a change over position, in which it is released from the storage areas. A locking device is provided that is adjusted between a locking position and a release position, which in its locked position locks the print roller in its operating position against an axial displacement and releases for an axial displacement in its release position. Bei einem Drucker mit einem Druckkopf (33) und einer damit zusammenwirkenden Druckwalze (5), die an ihren Enden in zwei Lagerbereichen (6, 7) des Druckers drehbar gelagert ist, wird die Druckwalze (5) erfindungsgemäß an den Lagerbereichen (6, 7) derart formschlüssig gehalten, daß sie auf einfache Weise werkzeugfrei ausgewechselt werden kann.
