Component e.g. plate-type heat exchanger, temperature measuring method for petrochemical industry or petrochemical system, involves evaluating optical signals of optical fiber present inside component
The method involves evaluating optical signals of an optical fiber present inside components. Temperature measurement is made by the evaluation of the optical signals, by Raman scattering or Brillouin scattering of the optical fiber or by scattering at a Bragg lattice. A rear-scattered light is divi...

Summary: | The method involves evaluating optical signals of an optical fiber present inside components. Temperature measurement is made by the evaluation of the optical signals, by Raman scattering or Brillouin scattering of the optical fiber or by scattering at a Bragg lattice. A rear-scattered light is divided into three spectral groups. Intensity relationship between stoke and anti-stoke components is utilized for the temperature measurement.
