An output equipment (28) outputs one of following information to the driver. One information relates to whether the driver must maintain stop of the vehicle as caused by the adaptive speed control device. Another information relates to whether manual or automatic starting of the vehicle by the control device under momentary traffic conditions is possible or otherwise. The last information relates to whether automatic starting assistance by the control device is available or otherwise. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a computer program with a program code; and (2) a computer program product. Verfahren zur Steuerung einer Mensch/Maschine-Schnittstelle für eine adaptive Geschwindigkeitsregelvorrichtung mit Abstandsregelfunktion und Stop & Go-Funktion für Kraftfahrzeuge mit Handschaltgetriebe, wobei dem Fahrer durch wenigstens eine Ausgabeeinrichtung wenigstens eine der nachfolgenden Informationen (I1, I2, I3) ausgegeben wird: - bei einem durch die adaptive Geschwindigkeitsregelvorrichtung herbeigeführten Stillstand des Kraftfahrzeugs, dass der Fahrer den Stillstand des Kraftfahrzeugs selbst aufrechterhalten muss (I1); - bei einem Stillstand des Kraftfahrzeugs, ob ein manuelles Anfahren oder ein automatisches Anfahren durch die adaptive Geschwindigkeitsregelvorrichtung aufgrund einer momentanen Verkehrssituation möglich ist oder nicht (I2) und - ob eine automatische Anfahrhilfe der adaptiven Geschwindigkeitsregelvorrichtung verfügbar ist oder nicht (I3).
