The force transmission zone is on the side of the functional section facing the location (33) where force is introduced. The force transmission zone is at least partially within the region of force introduction. A location (33) is provided on the composite component, to make a connection with another component introducing force. The functional section (2) is steel and the cast material (3) is aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The component is used in a vehicle. When making the component, the functional section is mechanically-treated before adding the cast material. Treatment includes introduction of a recess in the functional section. It comprises a surface treatment. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the corresponding method of manufacture. Es wird ein Verbundgussteil offenbart, das aus mindestens einem Einsatzteil (2) und einem dieses Einsatzteil (2) zumindest teilweise umgebenden Gussmaterial (3) besteht. Das Verbundgussteil (1) zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Einsatzteil (2) zumindest einen Kraftweiterleitungsbereich (24, 26) zur Weiterleitung einer auf das Verbundgussteil (1) einwirkenden Kraft (4) aufweist. Weiterhin wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Verbundgussteils (1) offenbart, bei dem das Einsatzteil (2) vor dem Aufbringen des Gussmaterials (3) an mindestens einem Bereich (24, 26) mechanisch bearbeitet wird.
