Bearing attachment for use in e.g. automobile industry, has sleeve with axial stop that is formed by projection whose extension reduces radially inward by increasing axial distance of axial stop

The attachment (1) has a sleeve (2) for attaching a bearing (11), and a flange (3) mechanically connected with the sleeve. The sleeve has a seat (9) in its bore for fixing the bearing in a radial direction. The sleeve has an axial stop (6) axially adjacent to the seat for fixing the bearing in axial...

Summary:The attachment (1) has a sleeve (2) for attaching a bearing (11), and a flange (3) mechanically connected with the sleeve. The sleeve has a seat (9) in its bore for fixing the bearing in a radial direction. The sleeve has an axial stop (6) axially adjacent to the seat for fixing the bearing in axial direction. The axial stop is formed by a projection (8) whose extension reduces radially inward by increasing axial distance of the axial stop. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a bearing assembly.
