Summary:The device (1) has a chain (2) driven by a chain wheel (3), which is arranged on a drive shaft (4). The chain is clamped over a slide rail using a pre-tensioning force. A torque measuring shaft (13) is connected with the drive shaft, where the coefficient of friction is determined by a torque (M) of the torque measuring shaft, the pre-tensioning force, a radius of the chain wheel and a contact angle of the slide rail. The slide rail is arranged at a lever system (6), which includes a retaining unit for weights (7). An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring a coefficient of friction. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1) und ein Verfahren zur Ermittlung des Reibbeiwerts (µ) an einer Kette (2). Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Kette (2) über ein Kettenrad (3), welches auf einer Antriebswelle (4) angeordnet ist, angetrieben wird, die Kette (2) über eine Spannschiene (5) mittels einer Vorspannkraft (FV) gespannt wird, eine Drehmomentmesswelle (13) mit der Antriebswelle (4) verbunden ist. Der Reibbeiwert (µ) wird über das Drehmoment (M) der Drehmomentmesswelle (13), die Vorspannkraft (FV), ein Radius (rKettenrad) des Kettenrads (3) und ein Umschlingungswinkel (beta) der Spannschiene (5) ermittelt.
