Summary:The method for replacing a rivet interconnecting two connecting components (2,3) entails forming a drilled channel in the rivet (1) which is formed as a solid rivet or half-solid rivet, introducing a countersink in the drilled channel by means of a countersinker which has a depth stop and guide shank, rotating a self-cutting threaded screw in the drilled channel, and machining the screw head for its length reduction. Bei einem Verfahren zum Ersetzen einer zwei Fügeteile miteinander verbindenden Nut sind folgende Verfahrensschritte vorgesehen: Ausbilden eines Bohrkanals in dem als Vollniet oder Halbhohlniet ausgebildeten Niet, Einbringen einer Senkung in den Bohrkanal mittels eines einen Tiefenanschlag und einen Führungsschaft aufweisenden Senkers, Eindrehen einer selbstfurchenden Gewindeschraube in den Bohrkanal, Bearbeitung des Schraubenkopfs zur Längenreduzierung des Schraubenkopfs.
