The vehicle has a vehicle door which is lockable by using a vehicle key. A remote control for locking and unlocking the vehicle door is integrated into the vehicle key. An air-conditioning system e.g. heating device is integrated into the motor vehicle. The air-conditioning system is coupled with the remote control, such that the air-conditioning system is switched-on, when the remote control is operated for unlocking the vehicle door.
