An independent claim is also included for a method for holding an object using the above holding arrangement. Preferred Features: The foil container can be welded and/or adhered. The foil container has a tube- or sack-like structure. The foil container can form a sleeve of the object. The inner chamber is divided into several chambers which are joined together in a partially gas-tight manner. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Haltevorrichtung zum Halten eines Gegenstandes (11) oder einer Person, mit einem Folienbehältnis (12), das einen im wesentlichen gasdichten und evakuierbaren Innenraum (13) aufweist, in dem ein Granulat (14) aufgenommen ist. Die Haltervorrichtung (10) ist im noch nicht evakuierten Zustand verformbar unde an den Gegenstand (11) anlegbar. Das Folienbehältnis (12) und das Granulat (14) bilden im evakuierten Zustand einen im wesentlichen formstabilen Formkörper einer an den Gegenstand (11) angepassten Kontur.
