They optionally have differing diameters and lengths, and the guard is reinforced at its rear. The guard has an opening through which the needle can pass, and it may be designed to advance with the needle, under spring loading and against a stop. An independent claim is included for the corresponding painless method of insertion. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung, die ein schmerzreduziertes Eindringen eines Stechmittels (2) in ein Gewebe (H) ermöglicht, mit DOLLAR A a) einem Schutzelement (3), DOLLAR A b) einem in Vorschubrichtung (V) zeigenden Stechmittel (2), DOLLAR A c) wobei das Stechmittel (2) und das Schutzelement (3) relativ zueinander in Richtung einer Stechmittellängsachse (A) zwischen einer Freigabeposition und einer Nullposition hin- und herverschiebbar sind, wobei das Stechmittel (2) in der Freigabeposition über das Schutzelement (3) vorsteht, um in das Gewebe (H) eindringen zu können, und wobei das Stechmittel (2) in der Nullposition über das Schutzelement (3) nicht vorsteht, DOLLAR A dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass DOLLAR A d) das Schutzelement (3) an seinem in Vorschubrichtung (V) weisenden Ende mindestens ein in Vorschubrichtung (V) abstehendes Störkörperchen (4) aufweist.
