The pipeline identification element (100) has an identity signal source and an associated coupling element in which the signal source is integrated. The coupling element is an insulating part (7) and is designed for connection between two parts of a product line (6,9). It can be a separate part or a component of at least one part of the product line. Independent claims are also included for the following: a pipeline identification arrangement and a pipeline identification method. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Rohrleitungsidentifizierungselement zur elektrischen oder elektronischen Identifizierung einer Rohrleitung, mit einem Kennungsgeber, wobei das Rohrleitungsidentifizierungselement ein Kopplungselement enthält, dem der Kennungsgeber zugeordnet ist. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung eine Rohrleitungsidentifizierung mit einem solchen Rohrleitungsidentifizierungselement und ferner ein Rohrleitungsidentifizierungsverfahren zur elektrischen oder elektronischen Identifizierung einer Rohrleitung mit einem Kennungsgeber, wobei zwei Produktleitungen über ein Kopplungselement gekoppelt werden und dadurch gleichzeitig automatisch der Kennungsgeber aktiviert wird oder aktivierbar ist.
