Summary:Twin-walled plastic container manufacture, involves inserting the sealed base of a parison inside itself to form twin walls and controlling pressure differential during container inflation. One end of an extruded tubular parison is sealed to form a base (8) and the latter is pushed inside the parison to form a looped inner wall (16). A gap between the inner and outer (15) walls is controlled by the pressure inside (6) the parison. On completion of extrusion and with the base fully inserted inside the parison the other, open, end of the parison is sealed by closing the blowing too l(4). Controlled inflation of the inner chamber (12) of the container is via a channel (11). An independent claim is made for a twin-walled container produced by the process.
