An Independent claim is also included for a process for manufacturing a chip such as the above. Der IC-Chip (1) ist mit einem Temperatursensor (2) versehen, der die tatsächliche Temperatur an dem Halbleitermaterial oder einer speziellen Komponente der integrierten Schaltung (3) misst, so dass die Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit im Betrieb der Schaltung entsprechend dieser Temperatur geregelt werden kann. Damit wird eine ausreichende Abführung der entstehenden Wärme auch bei höherer Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit erreicht.
