Summary:A vehicle (1) transmits a telephone communication. There are preceding vehicles (2,3) and approaching vehicles (4-7). A TV picture taken by a camera is supplemented by information from a navigation system seen as a bird's-eye shot. The picture includes details about surroundings and is translated by an image processor into relevant traffic information. Important details are transferred to a partner in another vehicle and unimportant details are suppressed. Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Durchführen eines Ferngesprächs wird bei Verwendung in einem Fahrzeug mit einer Bilderfassungseinrichtung während des Ferngesprächs ein Bild von Bereichen der Umgebung aufgenommen und das Bild das Verkehrsgeschehen in der Umgebung des Fahrzeugs schematisch in der Weise vereinfacht wiedergegeben. Durch elektronische Bildverarbeitung werden nur noch relevante Informationen zum Verkehrsgeschehen, die im Blickfeld der Bildererfassungseinrichtung liegen, zusammen mit dem Ferngespräch zum Empfänger übertragen und unwichtige Umgebungsdetails unterdrückt.
