One of the walls of a housing surrounds a stator and a rotor. The housing has an accommodation space radially outside the wall, with respect to the rotation axis of the rotor. A control circuit has individual components arranged inside the accommodation space of the housing, for controlling the electric machine. An Independent claim is also included for drive arrangement. Elektrische Maschine, mit einer elektrischen Komponente, die eine Rotorkomponente und eine Statorkomponente aufweist und innerhalb eines Gehäuses angeordnet ist und mit einer Leistungselektronik zum Steuern der elektrischen Maschine, die an der elektrischen Komponente angeordnet ist, wobei das Gehäuse eine die elektrische Komponente in Umfangsrichtung umgebende erste Gehäusewand aufweist, daß das Gehäuse einen sich von der elektrischen Komponente in bezug auf die Rotationsachse (R) der Rotorkomponente von der ersten Gehäusewand radial nach außen erstreckenden Aufnahmebereich aufweist und daß die einzelnen Komponenten der Leistungselektronik innerhalb des Aufnahmebereichs angeordnet sind.
