Summary:The aim of the invention is to provide a device for pre-heating the fuel for the cold start of a diesel powered internal combustion engine that does not require a bulky pencil-type glow plug. To this end, the inventive fuel nozzle is provided with a resistance heating layer (20) that especially consists of a ceramic material and that is disposed in the zone of the flow path of the fuel to be injected. Um eine Kraftstoff-Vorwärmung für den Kaltstart einer Diesel-Verbrennungskraftmaschine zu ermöglichen, ohne daß eine störende Glühstiftkerze erforderlich ist, ist bei einer erfindungsgemäßen Einspritzdüse im Bereich des Strömungsweges des einzuspritzenden Kraftstoffes eine Widerstands-Heizschicht (20), insbesondere aus Keramik, angeordnet.
