Summary:The amino group-containing polyene macrolide is reacted with a mono- or oligosaccharide of the aldose or ketose series in an organic solvent or an organic solvent mixture. In order to be able to use an inexpensive, non-flammable solvent, the N-glycosyl derivative produced is precipitated from the reaction medium by means of water or an aqueous solution of an inorganic salt, purified by crystallisation from a higher alcohol, and optionally converted into a salt.
