Summary: | The catalyst for oxidising sulphur-containing waste water contaminants in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and oxygen contains nickel, copper and optionally iron, manganese and chromium. The improvement is that the catalyst is obtained by thermal treatment of a Cu alloy containing 10-60 wt. % Ni with optionally Fe, Mn, zinc, Cr, phosphorus and/or S at a temperature between 500 and 1200 deg. C for 0.3 to 3 hours in an O-containing atmosphere. |
