PROCESS FOR PREPARING 6-(ARYLCARBONYL)-4-OXIMODIHYDROBENZOTHIOPYRAN HERBICIDES AND INTERMEDIATES EMPLOYED IN THIS PROCESS

The present invention provides compounds of formula I and processes for the preparation and purification thereof. Compounds of formula I are useful as intermediates in the manufacture of 6-(arylcarbonyl)-4-oximino-dihydrobenzothiopyran herbicidal agents.
