Předměty potřísněné olejovými látkami se umístí do uzavíratelného prostoru, do kterého se přivádí vodní pára o teplotě 100 .degree.C až 150 .degree.C po dobu 2 až 5 minut. Tím se snižuje viskozita olejových látek a na povrchu čištěných předmětů se vytváří vodní emulze olejových látek, jejíž viskozita je nižší, než je viskozita samotných olejových látek. Vodní emulze olejových látek s nízkou viskozitou odtéká působením gravitační síly z povrchu předmětů a odstraňuje z nich olejové látky. Zařízení pro provádění způsobu je kontejner (1), jehož bočnice (1.1) mají tvar lichoběžníku, přední čelo (1.2) je zkosené a zadní čelo (1.3) rovné. V horní části (1.4) kontejneru je odklápěcí víko (1.5). Dno (1.6) kontejneru (1) se svažuje k odtokovým otvorům. Do kontejneru (1) ústí trubka (1.8) pro přívod páry opatřená alespoň jednou tryskou (1.9), která vyúsťuje ve střední části dna (1.6). Vodní emulze olejových látek se jímá do záchytné vany (3), umístěné pod kontejnerem (1).ŕ The invented method for oil substances from surfaces of metallic and plastic objects is characterized in that objects stained therewith are put into a closable space in which steam, heated at a temperature ranging from 100 degC to 150 degC is supplied for a period of 2 to 5 minutes. Owing to this viscosity of the oil substances present on the surface of the objects to be cleaned is reduced and water emulsion thereof is formed wherein said water emulsion viscosity is lower than that of the oil substances themselves. The water emulsion of low viscosity of the oil substances flows off due to the action of gravity force from the surface of the objects and removes therefrom the oil substances. Claimed is also an apparatus for making the above-described method, which apparatus comprises a container (1) the sidewalls (1.1) of which are of trapezoidal form, the front wall (1.2) thereof is beveled and the rear wall (1.3) thereof is straight. In the container (1.4) upper portion, there is a removable lid (1.5). Said container (1.6) bottom (1) inclines toward discharge holes. A steam supply pipe (1.8) has its outlet orifice in the container (1). Said steam supply pipe (1.8) is provided with at least one nozzle (1.9) being led out in the container bottom (1.6) middle portion. The oil substance water emulsion is collected in a retention tank (3) disposed underneath the container (1).
