Further described is a method for stimulating growth hormone release from hypophisis, according to which an effective amount of the growth hormone releasing diamide derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is administered to a subject being in need thereof. Also described is the use of the growth hormone releasing diamide derivative of the general formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for preparing a medicament intended for the stimulation of growth hormone release from hypophisis and thus for treating the growth hormone release stimulation.
