METHOD OF FLUORO-CHLORALKYL/ACRYLATE PREPARATION

The solution concerns a method of preparation of (fluorochloroalkyl) acrylates of the following general formula:CH2=CR-COO-CR R -(CF2CFC1)n-H,where R is hydrogen or methyl, R and R is hydrogen, phenyl, aliphatic alkyl or alkenyl, containing always from 1 to 8 carbon atoms or together forming cyclohe...

Summary:The solution concerns a method of preparation of (fluorochloroalkyl) acrylates of the following general formula:CH2=CR-COO-CR R -(CF2CFC1)n-H,where R is hydrogen or methyl, R and R is hydrogen, phenyl, aliphatic alkyl or alkenyl, containing always from 1 to 8 carbon atoms or together forming cyclohexyl and n is from 1 to 5. The acrylic or methacrylic acid or their acylchlorides are treated by chlorofluoroalkanols of the following general formula:HO - CR R - (CF2CFC1)n - H,where R , R and n are of the above-mentioned meaning. The reaction of acids proceeds in presence of polymerization inhibitors, acid catalysers and eventually azeotropic agents for dewatering the reaction mixture. The reaction of acylchlorides proceeds in alkaline solution in presence of a catalyser of phase transport and polymerization inhibitor, or in presence of polymerization inhibitor without solvent, or in the environment of aprotic solvents of type of hydrocarbons or aliphatic ethers. The (fluorochloroalkyl) acrylates can be prepared as monomers for preparation of polymers for use in microelectronics and optoelectronics.
