Summary:The bucket tooth of a large-scale excavator is intended for very high dynamic stress at excavation in intercalations and with high endurance at excavation in highly abrasive soils and it is made of rub-proof low-alloyed high-strength steel for castings. The tooth is upgraded strength higher than 1,000 MPa with notch resistance of the material higher than 25 J x cm <-2>. The cutting part of the tooth has a parabolic edge (1), formed by penetration of the conic part of the back (3) and conic part of the face (4) with the apex angle of the forming conic surfaces in the range between 10 and 35 degrees. A part of the cutting part of the edge is asymmetric in the cross section. The wedge-shaped side extensions (6) with a wedge-shaped side recess (7) are smoothly connected to the parabolic edge (1). The mounting shank (8) has a hole (9) for the mounting element of the tooth. The point of the parabolic edge (1) ends to advantage in the width between 20 and 100 mm with a curve with the radius (2) between 30 and 90 mm.
