Summary: | The solution concerns a tool for hot extrusion and comes with a designed functional part of the extrusion die and the method of extruded semi product heating. The principle of the solution consists in the fact that the extrusion die has its functional part formed of a graphite insert, made of non-porous composite graphite. The insert is divided in circular segments separated by an electro insulating layer. The segments are connected to the power supply with a regulation feature. The graphite insert is positioned in a divided graphite sleeve and this sleeve is positioned in a steel sleeve fixed on a stand base part. The heating of the extruded semi product is cumulated into the reduction part of the graphite insert of the extrusion die therefore it is very efficient. Because the functional part of the extrusion die is made of non-metallic material it has a lubricating effect and prevents the originating of diffuse connections between the extruded semi product and the extrusion die. The principle can be used for tools for drawing end extrusion of tubes, wires and for tools for the drawing with wall thinning. |
