Summary: | The concerned machine is used for milling twelve straight cross-slots into a revolving work-piece. The central housing contains an upper turntable with eight radial mechanical clamps and a hydraulic distribution in the turntables centre. Around the turntable a milling and a coolant collector is created, the outlet of which is led out from both sides of the drilling unit. To the central housing seven frames are radial and attached to the longitudinal carriages to which are fitted with six milling units and one drilling unit. The drilling unit is fitted with a tool head and the six milling units are fitted with a separate milling head. Into each milling head two disk cutters are clamped through both arbours led in parallel as well as in a transversal way towards the revolving work-pieces. Each milling head is differently swung out towards its horizontal axis and the turntable surface whereby at one complete turntable revolution twelve straight slots in the revolving work-piece are milled out, and the milling unit is used at working cycles for auxiliary functions. |
